Last night, we, the O’Briens, and Dumas were taking a nice stroll down Park Avenue and, we were stopped in our tracks by this Damien Hirst window installed at the Lever House.
We instantly thought of the Sycz/Guinta clan, and had to take a picture. We then proceeded to Burger Joint and ate from one of these guys’ cousins. It was delicious.

Well. So far Christmastime in New York is a-plus.
No snow yet, but it’s getting a little cold. We get to wear coats and hats. Small children go down slides with their scarves trailing behind. We don’t feel bad whistling Christmassy tunes as we stroll down the street, because the chill on our cheeks and our breath in the air seems to prove that it really is a Winter Wonderland.
The OBrien’s are coming in on Wednesday and we’re going to see some big tree get lit up. Then we might go get lit up. (j/k dudes) It’s going to be awesome.

I’m pretty sure that I had never seen the full version of the Martin Scorcese / Michael Jackson “Bad” opus until last night.
I’m also pretty sure that Michael Jackson is not bad. At least, not in the way he’s claiming to be.
This week Nate teaches us how to make the classic Old Fashioned, which is the grandfather of all cocktails.
According to Etymonline, the word cocktail dates from 1806 when Antoine Pechaud (of Pechaud’s Bitters fame) served alcohol, water, and bitters concoctions to his friends in an egg cup (in French, coquetier). We won’t be using an egg cup, but we will be making history.
So, get out your mixing glass, some ice, and let’s get started.

It’s fall, dudes. The leaves are starting to turn, and there’s a little chill in the air.

Saturday we went to the National History Museum (as originally promised) and took this picture of butterflies for Jen and Damion.
If you’re reading this and live in New York, you should spend more time visiting the Natural History Museum. It is a fantastic place. There are people all over the country who dream of hanging out in the museum, and you’re wasting the opportunity. You don’t even have to go for that long. Make a lazy afternoon of it. Plus, if you show up an hour before closing time they let you in for free. No more excuses!
If you’re reading this and don’t live in New York, come visit New York and its Natural History Museum. You won’t be disappointed. It’s worth the trip. Plus, you can spend the night there. No more excuses!
